Schools in Stockport and across Greater Manchester looking for Newly Qualified Teachers

Your new school
Although we are currently in uncertain times, Hays Education are one of the leading recruiters for the Education sector and therefore have exclusive partnership agreements with primary schools in Stockport and throughout Greater Manchester.

We may have a few challenging weeks ahead, however once schools re-open we believe that there will be an increase in demand for Primary Supply Teachers to work in Stockport and throughout the Greater Manchester area.

Therefore, we are actively looking for Newly Qualified Teachers based in Stockport and throughout Greater Manchester who are looking for their first teaching opportunity.

***IMPORTANT*** We are now conducting all interviews via phone/video call and are able to complete the whole registration process online.

Your new role
As a Newly Qualified Primary Teacher you will be taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils, planning preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class and maintaining a positive learning environment on a daily and/or long-term basis. As an NQT it is important you have a successful induction year, therefore by working with our Primary Education team to secure your first teaching role you will be able to find an opportunity which is tailored to you.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Hays Education NQT it is essential you have received or are pending your Qualified Teacher Status (UK) and we are able to obtain references from your most recent teaching placements. You will ideally be an approachable and patient Teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. It is also ideal that you have good communication and interpersonal skills as this is key for building strong working relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents and carers quickly.

What you'll get in return
Hays Education aims to pay all their teachers to scale for long-term teaching positions (M1 to M6) and a competitive daily rate for day-to-day supply positions. Plus, you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year. You will have access to a range of online training, including up-to-date safeguarding training and our brand-new Wellbeing First training. Furthermore, you will be working with your own dedicated Primary Teaching Consultant who specialises in the Stockport area.
